Basecode FAQ

What is Basecode?

Basecode is a brilliantly simple firefox extension designed to extend the functionality and features of the already brilliant Basecamp Project Management tool. See the full feature list here.

Are you part of Basecamp and 37signals?

No. Basecode is a product of Spoiltchild Design. We love Basecamp and built this extension for ourselves for our day to day use of it. We found it so handy we thought we would share.

How do i get it?

You can try Basecode for free by downloading from here. If you like it enough you can purchase Basecode from us here for a grand total of just €10 FREE.

I don't have Basecamp, can i still buy it?

You can indeed but it wont work so we don't really advise it. Unless you are buying it as a romantic gift for your office co worker in which case we suggest combining it with a nice box of chocs. Just make sure they use Firefox or you may face rejection.

How much does it cost?

Basecode costs just €10 FREE AS CHIPS!!.

Why does it cost money?

We spent a lot of our own time and money developing Basecode for our own use. You get to use it for a tiny tiny fraction of that cost. We have lots of ideas on how to develop Basecode further but we can only do that if it can go out into the world and support itself. If it breaks even we will be happy.

Did we mention its free!

What use is it?

Try it and see. Seriously, its a very handy time saving tool. It will make your life easier.

I don't use Firefox what can i do?

You can download Firefox here. We recommend it as a great browser.

Can i use Basecode with another browser?

No sorry. At the moment Basecode is only available for Firefox.

What OS does it work on?

Basecode will work with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux i686.

What versions of Firefox does it work with?

Basecode will work with firefox version 2

Great product, how can i thank you?
