Email didn’t arrive in your inbox

Occasionally emails get caught up in overzealous email filters before they arrive. Make sure it didn’t accidentally go into your spam folder and add ‘mynewsletter@toddle.com’ to your safe senders list.
An alternative way to get your email newsletter is to simply copy and paste it into your email. We have described the steps here.

How many design templates to you have? Do I need to become a paid subscriber in order to see a full selection?

Hi David, we are adding new templates all the time and as they become available you will be able to view and choose them in the editor.

Hi Siobhan, to remove the ‘Read More’ button from your email newsletter simply delete the web address from the ‘Read More’ box in the editor on the left.

How many people can I send email to in the group mail?

  6. Alan O'Rourke

    February 19, 2008 @ 7:04 pm

    Hi Siobhan,
With Groupmail you can send to a few thousand people.
    http://www.toddle.com/stuff/sending-your-toddle-newsletter-with-group-mailcom/

If you are sending with your email client (Outlook, Yahoo etc) you can send to a few hundred people.

In your €6 deal, can you place in your own template?

  8. Alan O'Rourke

    March 3, 2008 @ 3:03 pm

Hi Siobhan it is not possible but we are about to release a new template in a few days where you can change the entire header to more closely match your own branding.
We also offer a custom design service where we can provide you an email newsletter design that exactly matches your own requirements. Feel free to contact me at info@toddle.

Hi can you please explain how the pricing works. I plan to send out about 400 newsletters……..this number will grow to about 1000 shortly.

  10. Alan O'Rourke

    March 13, 2008 @ 12:40 pm

    The pricing is very simple.
Toddle does not care how many people you are sending to.
If you use the free template you get when you first sign up there is no charge at all.
If you use the paid templates you pay 6 euro at the point you want to download it to Outlook or the email sending application you are using.

Hi — I can’t find a way on your site to pay $6 to you so that I can see all the available templates. So although you talk about the non-free options they are not readily available to me. The only thing I can do is make a free newsletter with the 3 free template designs. Also, you don’t have a Contact Us section with your phone details. Thx, karin

    July 17, 2008 @ 5:01 pm

I am trying to access the additional templates other than the 3 option i currently get, I know i will need to pay the additional charge but i cant seem to get entry to pay that either.

  15. Alan O'Rourke

    July 17, 2008 @ 5:23 pm

Hi Karyn, sorry about the confusion. We are getting ready to launch an update that should make things clearer.
Currently there are only 3 newsletter templates available in total. We will be launching more over the next few weeks or alternatively you can contact us about building you a custom newsletter design for your own requirements.

    Hi Rashid,
You send your finished newsletter by forwarding it from your email client (outlook, Yahoo mail, Gmail etc) to your subscriber list.
Alternatively you can send it with one of the dedicated email management applications that are available. We have instructions here http://www.toddle.com/stuff/category/advanced/ and will me adding more over the coming months.

We have a very basic website for occasional (substitute) teachers. If we send our group a toddle newsletter, can we then upload that newsletter to a more permanent home on our website where it can be archived?

  20. admin

    September 1, 2008 @ 8:09 am

You can do one better. Instead of copying files over simply grab the handy JavaScript Widget at the bottom of the email editor and paste it into your own website.
This will automatically list all your latest newsletters and link over to an archived version of them.

    November 27, 2008 @ 1:18 pm

I have a few questions, thanks for your help :
    1. In my newsletter the “view it online” on the second line can’t be seen on screen through the colour. Is there a way to resolve this ?
    2. Under sharing stuff where it refers to a link to forward the e mail to a friend, there doesn’t seem to be a link that works ?
    3. Is it possible to remove the fax and im/skype lines from the contact us section if they are not being used ?
    4. The V card section doesn’t seem to work. Can this be fixed or can I remove it ?
    5. The unsubcribe section at the end refers to spoiltchild, not my company ?
    6. Is it possible to remove the see previous newsletters option ?

    Thanks!!

How can I insert more than three articles? Or just two?

  25. admin

    December 17, 2008 @ 9:33 pm

    Hi darko,
You cannot have more then three articles. Studies have shown the more content you add to a newsletter the less chance of someone reading it. We put limits on the templates to force users to keep their newsletters snappy and to the point.
If you need to add more content perhaps you should look at sending more frequently?

    Hi Mary,
    1. Can you tell me what template you are using and what email client?
    2. Apologies, you have spotted some future functionality that is not ready to go live yet. Removing it now.
    3. Not at the moment but we will look at this.
    4. It seems to be working for us. Do you have any more details?
    5. Again I think you have spotted a template that slipped out a little early. Fixing it now. Thanks.
    6. It is not possible.

    Thanks Mary

    February 24, 2009 @ 11:36 pm

    Hi
I’d like to follow up on Mary Keily’s queries as the issues dont appear to have been resolved and I was wondering are they likely to be fixed soon? Re the V card – I dont see how to add my details to it it seems to contain Toddle details.

Also I would be interested in seeing what the 6 euro templates are like as they might offer a little more flexibility to suit my needs as I defo wouldnt be in the market for the custom ones, but I cant find them!

I’m really keen to hear about this as these few things are keeping from using the Toddle stuff, which apart from that seems really good and is just what I am looking for.

    thanks

i dont get it. where do i create an account with toddle?

  29. Gerry Duffy

    March 4, 2009 @ 1:06 pm

Is it possible to use your product within our CRM package from SalesForce.com We use this to track our contacts with Irish Brides. SalesForce keeps a record of all our emails sent to each client Within that clients own account.

Whilst we are kee to Toddle, we would need tracability within each account to show What we sent to her and When.

    Many thanks,

    Gerry Duffy

  30. Alan O'Rourke

Hi Gerry, we have never tried it. I will set up a Salesforce account and let you know how i get on.

Drea, all you need as your email address to create your account and login on the home page. No long and needless forms here!

Have you gents looked into working with Ultracart? They have email campaign management as part of their toolset, and mention a lot of services that do for a much greater cost what you do for 6 euros, so maybe a quick tutorial like the one for Campaign Monitor would be in order.

Is this app suitable for sending to public sector clients? I don’t know for sure but the likes of the HSE restrict internet access and the default email format seems to be text.

    Hi,
How do I get rid of the read more button, and how do I use it to link to another page or article?

Hi Randi, if you remove the URL from the editor on the left hand side the Button will disappear.
If you add URL to this field in the editor the button will reappear and will link to the page or article you wish.

Hi, I want to start work on a new newsletter but each time I log in I get the first newsletter I worked on. Is there a way to start a fresh with an unused tempate?

  41. Alan O'Rourke

    September 29, 2009 @ 10:55 am

    Hi Helen,
Toddle will always show you the last edit you made when you log in.
When you click send it creates a snapshot of that newsletter and stores it in the archive.

The Awards are not until the 25th of February but we are looking for entries at the moment if you would like to put yourself or anyone else forward.

I need to send 100 emails with the same template that I created..How can I do that, and how much will that cost me?
    Thank you for your help

  45. Alan O'Rourke

    November 19, 2009 @ 3:48 pm

    Hi Fructu,
For 100 mails you could send via your email client or webmail. You might need to break down the 100 to smaller chunks depending on your provider.
If you wish to use an email service provider this is how Toddle works with many of them. http://www.toddle.com/stuff/toddle-3rd-party-email-marketing-software/

    Hope that helps.

Do you provide analytics for each email or integrate with google analytics? It’s important for me to be able to calculate a conversion ratio for email campaigns.

  49. admin

    January 20, 2010 @ 5:49 pm

Hi Phil, I understand, I love metrics myself. To keep Toddle absolutely easy to use we do not currently support it. However have you looked at Google link builder http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55578 ?
If you create your links through that before putting them in your newsletter you will be able to track them.

  53. Geraldine

    March 4, 2010 @ 3:46 pm

I have a few questions about using Toddle :

Can I add more that 3 news sections ?

Is it possible to track the response – number of people that opened the newsletter or clicked a link of it?

Can the reporting be integrating with Google analytics to show for example the number of people visiting the website from the newsletter ?

We would be using an external agency to send the newsletter to about 3000 email addresses. They use a newsletter sending service called constant contact which provides email queueing, statistics and tracking.
Would they be able to access the newsletter on line (I send them a link) and use the same sending service they always have – this would provide the tracking element we need.?

    Thanks,
    Geraldine

    Hi …

I’m testing the free newsletter (and will then look at the paid versions). A quick question:

At the top of my newsletter is the following text: “To make sure you get edition of this email, please add sample@sample.com to your contacts.” What does “get edition of this email” mean? Are there some words missing?

    Thanks
    Phil

    March 9, 2010 @ 4:44 pm

I need to have more that the pre defined 3 news sections in the newsletter. I can do this by manually adding a dividing line in an existing section and then adding a header and text.

However is there a way to edit the header text to make it look like the other pre defined headers?

Also is it possible to add a read more button to one of these additional sections?

    thanks

    Hi,
I work for a charity and I wanted to use Toddle. We will be sending out emails to database of potentially 3,000 people from Outlook 2007, will that be a problem? Thanks Eileen

  59. admin

    April 1, 2010 @ 1:05 pm

Hi Eileen, it may be a problem with your email / hosting company as some have limits on how many you can send to at a time. If you would like to contact me at alan@toddle.com i can suggest something to manage a list of that size.

    Hi Rob,
We do not have an affiliate program at the moment.

  62. admin

    May 18, 2010 @ 3:39 pm

Hi Mark, that problem is fixed. Sorry about that.
Nigel, the editor is also a preview of how it will look so you do not need to send it.
You cannot get rid of those at this point in time. We are allowing that in a future release.
You cannot remove the Toddle banner.

  64. admin

Hi Kathy, each newsletter design comes with an explanation on how to request an unsubscribe or you can insert an unsubscribe tag that is supported by many email sending applications.

I love the templates and the ease of development. I am using a number of mass email services, i.e. v12group.com and want to know if your template would be suitable for such mas mailings. I assume I just copy the code into notepad and forward to the email provider. I don’t own the emails,I choose a demographic and they will send out the email on my behalf. Do you have any policies against this as it could be construed as spam.

Does anybody have any idea why I am NOT able to send my first email newsletter to my mailbox? I am a newbie at this. I used the editing tools on the Toddle Web site to create a TEST email newsletter. I hit SEND. The newsletter appears in the archive for my account on Toddle, but it never arrived at my mailbox nor was there a confirmation from Toddle that it had been correctly sent. What’s up with this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    November 29, 2010 @ 5:59 pm

Hi Annie, I have addressed your question at the top of this page. Hope it helps.

Kim, you can sign up with your business email address.

Chase, we have limited the fonts in the templates to ones that will appear the same in everyones inbox. This way you can be confident your message is getting out as you see it.

Marie, you were just a bit early. We have released our Christmas templates now.

Dinesh, if Salesforce allows you to import html to send then it is fine.

  74. Annie

    Hello,

    1. Is there a way to change the font size in the “free” email newsletter? Is color available for text?
    2. Can more than one image be added per section in the free email newsletter?
    3. Can the email address be changed that appears at the top of the email newsletter? (I created a newsletter for a nonprofit, but my personal email address appears at the top of the newsletter–what I used to open my Toddle account.)

    Thanks for your time, Alan.

    Thank you!
    JOHN

  78. admin

    May 21, 2011 @ 3:34 pm

Hi John, you cannot change your address in Toddle but you should be able to edit it when you receive it in your email client.

Annie, only one image per article. But if you know some HTML you can add additional ones and change font size within the editor.
