Call for Artists from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown | Dundrum Contemporary Curators Announced
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted to announce that Annette Moloney and Maeve Mulrennan have been selected, from an open submission selection process, to curate the 2011 Dundrum Contemporary. This will take the form of an Open Submission exhibition and a direct invitation commission of temporary site-specific work, taking place in Dundrum in November 2011.
As part of this, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office is currently compiling a database of artists living in, working in or originally from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
Artists living in, working in or originally from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown should send their name; link to artist’s website (if apply); email address; telephone number and a short biog (no more than 100 words) to:

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Library Service & Arts Office Call for Writer in Residence
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council invites applications for a writer in residence for the period September 2011 to September 2012. The writer in residence is a partnership between the Library Service and the Arts Office of the County Council.
The residency seeks to support writers in all genres, with the exception of poets as the most recent writer in residence with the Library Service was a poet.
The residency is envisaged as a part-time position which will allow time both for the writer’s own work in addition to engagement and interaction with both the general public and more specifically for those with an interest in writing themselves.
The writer in residence will be required to organise a minimum of two high public events over the course of the residency.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 15 June 2011

Last Call - Auditions for new Junior Choir for the County
 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in partnership with the Arts Council is currently supporting a pilot developmental project with Dún Laoghaire Choral Society.
A major strand of this will see the establishment of a Junior Choir in the county. This will be for seven - ten year olds and will meet every Wednesday.
The Choral Society will be holding auditions for the Junior Choir on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th May. The auditions will be held in Comhaltas Ceolteorí Eireann in Monkstown.
